The Partners

2013 sees Redman Whiteley Dixon led by three partners; Justin Redman, Tony Dixon and Toby Ecuyer.

Each client works closely with a dedicated partner assuring the utmost quality and attention to detail. Our reputation is founded on unequalled working relationships that last from day one to launch and beyond.

The three partners are supported by some of the most creative and talented designers in the business.  The unique mix of abilities and enthusiasm is harnessed within a carefully selected team who are involved in every stage of the project.

Justin Redman

Justin graduated with a BA Hons in Industrial Design from the Central School of Art and Design, where he met Mark Whiteley.  Working in Australia as a yacht designer in the late 80s, Justin cites seeing a newly finished Jon Bannenberg yacht, OPAL C, bathed in the evening sun in Fremantle as his pivotal, inspirational moment.  Returning to Britain he was fortunate to work for his hero, John Munford.  As designer and project manager Justin was responsible for the interior design of 100’ – 200’ motor and sailing yachts.  Justin has always enjoyed sailing as a hobby and his passion for detail is as intense today as it was when he set up Redman Whiteley Design in 1993.

Tony Dixon

After graduating as a naval architect from the Southampton Institute, Tony moved into yacht interior design at the earliest opportunity.Tony has worked for over 20 years within the yacht industry, initially working for John Munford on traditional interiors and more recently with Justin and Mark on an eclectic mix of styles.  Tony has a wealth of experience with the best shipyards and naval architects in the industry, creating a depth of understanding of the process and an eye for infinite detail.Sailing remains a lifelong passion for Tony and he still enjoys the thrill of being on the water whether for work or leisure.

Toby Ecuyer

After graduating from Plymouth University, where he studied Architecture, Toby joined the London based architectural firm EPR. Following several years there, he then went on to join the Modus Group in their inaugural years.

Toby moved to Dick Young Designs in 2000, where he began his career in Yacht Design. In 2006 he was thrilled to join the team at Redman Whiteley Dixon and in 2007 was made Creative Director.

At the start of 2013 Toby became a full partner, leading the creative team to ensure integrity of design over all projects, throughout the whole process from initial hand sketch to completion.

The Team

Justin, Tony and Toby are joined by a highly talented team of designers and project managers, each accomplished in their own right and extremely dedicated. The studio has a friendly, light hearted atmosphere which forms long lasting friendships and a strong sense of camaraderie. Hand drawn sketches and design solutions are an integral part of the process alongside a competency in computer aided design. Our endeavour is to ensure integrity of design throughout the build process to completion.
