Description
Reporting to the Team Principal and Head of Exteriors, you are responsible for the development and creation of 3D models. Able to create 2D & 3D design, CAD including 3D visuals, liaising with other departments on multiple projects within team. Responsible for the development and creation of exterior 3D models. You are responsible for analysing 3D data from outside sources, development and creation of 3D photorealistic visuals and other graphic outputs for design presentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS

• Work with the Team Principal, Creative Lead and Project Manager to ensure a full understanding of the design brief and design direction
• Responsibility for the production of 3D models based on exterior design intent
• Responsibility for project coordination, managing others and direct work/ideas including junior creative team, Graphics department and external visualisers
• Work closely with the project manager and construction teams to investigate and resolve complex performance, manufacturing and aesthetic issues associated with the exterior design
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Team Principal to ensure work is produced in a timely manner to ensure project schedules are met and ensure all stakeholders are kept up to date of progress
• Following construction of the model liaising with the shipyard 3D department to ensure smooth handover
• Complete 3D models showing visual detail of the yacht exteriors for full 3D visuals for client presentations
• To represent RWD at project meetings, including overseas visits, and hold client meeting with or without a Director present
• To communicate and translate the exterior design information to the Client, Shipyard and suppliers
• Using initiative and self-motivation to keep up to date with current trends and technologies, attending shows as necessary
